How accurate is this roof cost estimate?
Most estimates are accurate within 10–15% of the final contract price. The estimate is based on satellite roof measurements from Google Solar API imagery. Final pricing depends on tear-off layers, decking condition, story height, pitch complexity, and chosen material. A Revolve representative will confirm the exact price with a free on-site inspection.
What's included in the estimate?
The estimate covers material and labor for a full roof replacement, including a 10% waste factor. It includes basic removal (one tear-off layer), standard felt or synthetic underlayment, standard ridge cap, and standard flashing.
What's NOT included in the estimate?
The estimate does not include: multiple tear-off layers (additional cost per layer), decking repair or replacement, chimney or skylight flashing beyond standard, high-pitch or steep slope premiums, permit fees (typically $150–$400 in St. Louis County), or disposal of old materials beyond standard haul-off.
How is the roof area calculated?
We use Google's Solar API, which processes aerial imagery and LiDAR data to measure the actual 3D surface area of your roof — not just your home's footprint. It accounts for pitch and each individual roof plane. If satellite data isn't available for your address (rural areas, very new construction), we'll ask for your home's footprint sqft instead.
