Why Documentation Matters
Roofing involves your home’s most important system, your insurance claim, and often a five-figure check. Missouri does not license roofing contractors at the state level, which means the burden falls on you, the homeowner, to verify that any contractor on your property carries proper municipal licensing, current general liability insurance, and active workers’ compensation coverage. We make that easy. Every license number, insurance carrier, and certification on this page is current and verifiable. Revolve Construction has operated in the Greater St. Louis metro and Southern Illinois since 2008 with continuous license, insurance, and bonding coverage. We have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and have not been the subject of a license revocation or material insurance claim against our coverage in our history.

Municipal Permits
We pull all roofing, siding, gutter, and tear-off permits in the customer’s name through the appropriate jurisdiction (St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Jefferson County, Madison County IL, St. Clair County IL, and individual municipalities as required). Permit fees are itemized on every estimate.
Insurance Coverage
We carry general liability and workers’ compensation insurance well above the minimums required by Missouri and Illinois municipalities. Coverage is written by a carrier rated A or better by AM Best.
Commercial General Liability
- Coverage limit: $2,000,000 aggregate

- Coverage covers property damage, bodily injury, and completed-operations exposure on every project we perform.
Workers’ Compensation
- Coverage: Active for all W-2 employees on every project

- Required by Missouri and Illinois law for any roofing or exteriors crew on a customer’s property.
Certificate of Insurance (COI)
Need a Certificate of Insurance naming you, your HOA, or your property manager as a Certificate Holder? Request a COI and our carrier will issue it directly to you within one business day. Specific policy numbers and named-insured details are confidential and provided on the COI itself.
Why this matters:If a roofing crew is injured on your property and the company does not carry workers’ comp, the injury claim can be brought against your homeowner’s insurance. Verify workers’ comp coverage with every contractor before they step on your property. Ask for a COI — never just a verbal assurance.

- Confirm the carrier and policy number with the carrier directly.
- Verify the contractor’s municipal license is active with the issuing city or county.
- For Illinois work, confirm the IDFPR roofing license at idfpr.illinois.gov.
- Check the BBB profile for accreditation status and complaint history.
- Request manufacturer certification verification through GAF, Owens Corning, or James Hardie’s contractor lookup tools.
